S SERIES - The S-bows are the lightest and strongest violin bows. Their sound is big, brilliant, powerful and round, but more bright than warm. They are the perfect choice for most soloists and also great for jazz, rock and folk music. The S-bows are a great match for all dark sounding instruments. They are available with round sticks that play more steady and feel very steady and octagonal sticks that play rather agile and lively. For many years the S-series bows are our bestseller and you can find them in all the great orchestras around the world.
P SERIES - The P-bows are the heaviest bows. They are of course still much lighter than wooden bows of 19th centuries design and thus notably more comfortable and easy to play with. Still, they provide a very solid and safe feel and perfect control. Their sound is more on the dark side, which is why they are a perfect fit to bright sounding instruments. The resiliency (or elasticity) of the stick is perfectly matched with the best modern strings, which allows to make the best use of them under all circumstances. They are available both with round and octagonal sticks. The octagonal bows feel more lively and agile, while the round ones are more steady and follow the hand very closely. The P-bows work well with every repertoire but they are excel in playing the big violin concertos of the Romantic
T SERIES - The T-bows are designed to precisely fit medium sizes violas and the best modern strings. If the string length of your instrument is around 37 cm, they should fit perfectly. The warm and brilliant sound of the T-bows allow to find new sound colours in your instrument. The combination of a low weight and a mass distribution towards the tip and heel provide a fantastic combination of agility and stability.
The special feature of the M-series bows is their perfect balance both in their sound character and their play and feel. The shape of their sticks is round and they are a little more flexible than the S- and P-bows. They are a little lighter than the P-bows though they offer the same stability due to a weigt distribution towards the extremes. They make it easy to play any repertoire and fit almost every instrument perfectly, as they pull an especially open sound with a great range of colours.
