The back made in two pieces of selected highly figured Balkan maple, the ribs and scroll are in similar wood; the table in two pieces of Bavarian spruce of narrow or medium-narrow grain.
Hand applied oil varnish of a rich reddish chestnut brown colour over a gold ground with some slight shading.
Quality ebony or rosewood fittings in a French or English pattern. Despiau A Grade bridge fitted as standard.
